Chardonnay Savage comes from our small clone 76 Chardonnay vineyard. This is a clone from Dijon, known and valued for its early maturation and tropical fruit notes. In Patagonia it found a perfect place where it is excellently balanced and produces about 7 tons per hectare, achieving very good concentration and expression.
This Chardonnay is gently pressed with its whole bunches and a natural decantation of its lees is carried out without the addition of enzymes, to later ferment with native yeast in stainless steel. The wine does not have malolactic fermentation due to its natural acidity, which better maintains the fresh and delicate expression of the chardonnay. The aging is also done in stainless steel, without lees stirring to keep the freshness intact.
Trapi Chardonnay Savage is yellow in color with a nose of honey, lime, pear and ginger biscuit. Nimble with vibrant freshness, a mellow, watery flow and intense flavor, this is very different from chilean norm.
